Ms Karen Mok, a renowned artiste in Hong Kong, was appointed as “UNICEF Ambassador for Poverty Alleviation” in July 2004 and was appointed as “Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF Ambassador” in May 2005. She has devoted her efforts and time to support UNICEF various fundraising activities, hoping to arouse public awareness on the status of children in the developing countries.

Karen joined UNICEF to bring warmth to children in the chilly-weathered Ganzu.


Field Visit to Ningxia, China 2004

Through the auspices of UNICEF, Karen Mok visited Ningxia to see first hand the poverty-stricken lives of many children in rural China.
