Main priorities include distribution of water to affected population, increasing the number of water trucks to facilitate distribution, sanitation and hygiene, and information management.
Situation Report (18 Jan 2010) - Haiti UNICEF will prioritize in coordinating water and sanitation on the ground. The first delivery of UNICEF water tanks, water purification tablets and rehydration salts has been unloaded in Port-au-Prince and is in process of being distributed; 250,000 litres of water was distributed yesterday to 17 zones with different humanitarian group assigned to each zone.
