現時壁磅市共有45個臨時帳篷，應付伊洛瓦底省超過17,000位風災災民，形同杯水車薪。

縱使市政府開始分發糧食予災民，但是根據生還者表示仍然遠遠未達需要，聯合國兒童基金會正趕緊將救援物資送到受災社區，其中包括淨水丸，口服防脫水鹽，急救包，藥物，帳篷和基本生活必需品，然而災民仍需要更多更多。

There were 45 temporary settlements in Pyapon township, Ayeyarwady Division where more than 17,000 cyclone-affected people sought shelter in the first week after the disaster.

Although township authorities have been distributing some food, it remains insufficient to the need, according to survivors. UNICEF has been rushing what essential supplies it can to the cyclone-affected communities: water-purifying tablets, oral rehydration salts, first-aid kits, essential drugs, tarpaulins and other basic living items. More supplies are coming. But much more is required.
