Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF is working on an advocacy campaign to promote corporate social responsibilities in Hong Kong. We are now recruiting volunteers to join our community outreach team to engage private sectors and NGOs to participate in the campaign.
Recruitment details
Expected Candidates: University students studying Business, Communication, Education, Public Health, Nursing, or any relevant disciplines; Year 2 or above preferred

Any adults who are interested in voluntary service in promoting child rights and corporate social responsibilities (CSR)

Criteria: Keen on promoting CSR and child rights

Proficient in spoken and written Chinese and English

Independent, good presentation skill, good team player

Duties: Introduce a CSR initiative toolkit to private sectors as well as NGOs and seek their support

Visit and follow up on the execution of the CSR initiatives in workplaces and public places

Perform necessary administrative duties as required

Service Arrangement: Volunteers can choose to perform duties in either session of different weekdays

~ Session A 9:00 am – 12:00 noon

~ Session B 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

At least 2 sessions/week

Monday to Saturday (from August 2015, one-year service period)

Venue: Different workplaces and public places

Training: Volunteers are required to attend trainings on both 11 and 12 July 2015 (Saturday and Sunday).

Quota: 50 volunteers

Student Production Assistant

UNICEF HK is recruiting voluntary Student Production Assistant for UNICEF HK Believe In Zero, Make A Video 2015 – a youth empowerment video project to be held in summer 2015. Join the force to contribute your expertise and empower Hong Kong teenagers to speak up for themselves via innovative one minute videos.

Recruitment details
Title of Internship: Student Production Assistant (13 July 2015 to 7 August 2015, full-time internship scheme)

Responsibilities: Support UNICEF HK and video trainers to facilitate smooth running of video day camps

Support teenagers to work on video ideas, create and prepare storyboards, props and filming locations

Teach teenagers to film and edit videos, record V.O./sounds, select music, and provide all necessary support artistically and technically to ensure finishing of videos

Prepare rough cut of videos and complete all videos for screening on the last day of camp when necessary

Respect all participating teenagers and treat them equally

Requirements: Experienced in artistic video production or have received relevant trainings

Excellent working knowledge of cameras and filming techniques

Excellent working knowledge of editing software (mainly Adobe Premiere)

Strong sense of responsibility and creativity

Good communication skills, ability to work independently and with a team

Ability to work under pressure, flexible and willing to improvise, able to support editing work after official working hours when necessary

Mature, sensitive and able to respect participants with various cultures and background, capacity and commitment to work with teenagers on an equal basis

The internship is on voluntary basis and lunch will be provided. Reference letter will be issued to candidates who successfully complete the internship with satisfactory performance. Orientation and training will be offered.

All student production assistants are required to compile with the UNICEF HK’s child safeguarding policy.
