UNICEF Charity Run

Since 2006, the UNICEF Charity Run has become an annual event and we are grateful to have received generous support from the public. On behalf of UNICEFs
United for Children, Unite for AIDS Global Campaign and the Sichuan Rebuild Programme, the event has attracted over 13,000 runners. In excess of HK$13.9 million have been raised. Thanks to this encouraging result, the UNICEF Charity Run has become our annual signature fundraising event.

The courses are appraised as the most even, speedy and scenic of all local races. Since 2007, the UNICEF Charity Run has adopted ChampionChips as the official timing system. The routes for the Half Marathon and 10km Run have received the approval of the Association of International Marathons and Road Races.

To heighten public awareness of children’s needs globally, the UNICEF Charity Run will be held again in 2009. More than one year has passed since the Sichuan earthquake, yet rebuilding efforts are still the most demanding. As a consequence, all funds raised from this year’s Charity Run will go towards the rebuilding of Sichuan.
