Digital Solutions Engineer

Role and Responsibilities 

              • Work on product development based on new technologies that involve any combination of app, device, web front-end, APIs, data streams, various databases and downstream data systems.
              • Responsible for analysis, designing, coding, exploratory testing, deployment, documentation for the enhancement and maintenance of the CRM database in Microsoft Dynamic 365, data mining, analytics tools, payment gateways, affiliate marketing, paid marketing performance on social channels;
              • Develop and maintain system and applications, as well as perform coding, testing and debugging in different stages of digital solution channels;
              • Build end-to-end data pipelines including data collection, transformation, quality and integration solutions to facilitate data & analytics solutions;
              • Manage the work-flow of data quality management, data exchange and data cleansing processes by designing and implementing different rules and best practices;
              • Work closely with Senior Engineer in Digital Solutions for designing and continuously refining platform offerings and architecture, and together report to Director of Digital Operations on product and service launch, capacity management and operational review in order to promote data management best practices in the organization.

Skills & Requirements

              • Graduate qualifications in data science, computer science, information system, engineering, digital technology, or related disciplines;
              • Minimum 5 years of sold working experience engaging in project management, software development, system integration, and solution delivery projects, in which experience related to Power BI, data modeling, data analysis and dashboard building shall be highly preferred;
              • Professional on database technology on database including MS SQL Server / Professional on Microsoft Cloud technology on Azure about data, e.g. Azure SQL, Azure data factory, Azure data lake / Professional on Power BI architect/design/implementation, shall be highly advantageous;
              • Development experience in .Net framework, C#, is a must. Experience in Java, MS/PL SQL, or Python shall be a significant advantage;
              • Passion on technology, good team work;
              • Strong ability in problem troubleshooting and diagnosis;
              • Able to work independently and under pressure, as well as supervise offshore developers on development work;
              • Proficiency in writing, presentation and communication skills in both English and Chinese.

Manager, Fundraising

Role and Responsibilities 

              • Planning:
              • Produce annual plans, budgets and KPIs for Individual Giving income generation via one-off and regular giving, as well as cultivation, solicitation. Contribute to overall individual giving strategy and team development.
              • Regularly monitor performance and evaluate plans and budgets, taking effective action where necessary and ensure that appropriate reporting, monitoring and evaluation of activities takes place.
              • Solicitations:
              • Increase income generated from individual giving fundraising activities towards individual and medium level donor groups
              • Lead the team to develop and manage donor recruitment campaigns creatively, and
              • Establish an engaging cultivation programs to increase giving levels of existing donors;
              • Manage a continuous cycle of testing new channels and platforms, based on audience insight
              • Foster strategic and tactical relationships with key external agencies, suppliers and stakeholders as required.
              • Team Management & Coaching:
              • Provide management and guidance to direct reports, in order to ensure that IG team KPIs and objectives are achieved and that direct reports each have a clear personal development plan.

Skills & Requirements

              • Undergraduate degree holder with at least 12 years of experience, at least 5 years at a supervisory level in fundraising with a focus on individual donors.
              • Strong command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
              • Considerable experience of preparing programmes and business plans to recruit, engage, inspire and cultivate donors
              • Experience of developing and implementing an individual giving strategy.
              • Knowledge of budgets and experience of reporting financial performance against targets
              • Demonstrable ability to line manage a small team and inspire others to deliver against targets and objectives
              • Ability to work across teams and departments in a collaborative manner and to proactively engage colleagues on projects and initiatives
              • The ability to be a proactive self-starter and to use initiative to resolve problems and create solutions to improve results
              • Result oriented, flexible, patient, donor/customer centric with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
              • Proven problem solving and decision making skills with a track record of using good judgment to make decisions that lead to positive outcomes

Corporate Partnership Manager

Role and Responsibilities 

              • Devise and implement effective platforms to acquire new partners; build a community of supporters to enhance results; and engage corporate donors and partners in a journey of experience with UNICEF’s humanitarian and development mission for children.
              • Proactively approach prospects and drive collaborative programmes to mobilise resources from the private sector and foundations.
              • Innovate and lead engagement activities for donors, including forums, talks, donor visits and field trips, and build donors’ knowledge of UNICEF’s programmatic initiatives and impact.
              • Plan, assess and implement strategies to retain and grow corporate partners
              • Manage the departmental budget of income and expenditure.

Skills & Requirements

              • A self-motivator and self-learner, able to acquire and build knowledge on the job or through UNICEF’s internal resource or market contact and experience
              • Highly skilled in stakeholder engagement, communications and marketing, backed by a strong social and professional network
              • Excellent English & Chinese writing skills. Able to write and present proposals effectively
              • Strong analytical skills to drive effective results and provide market assessment
              • At least 8 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing, including relevant experiences with corporate donors. Some global exposure is an advantage

Director of Philanthropy

Role and Responsibilities 

              • Formulate and execute an innovative, integrated and effective strategy to grow the pool of committed high-value donors, in coordination and collaboration with the Business Director, his digital, individual giving and corporate partnerships teams, and the UNICEF Headquarters.
              • Research and identify prospects, leveraging UNICEF HK’s donors database, business/social network of UNICEF HK’s Council/Committee Members and own professional network; reach out to, build relationship with and secure commitment of potential donors, involving the Executive Director and Council/Committee Members as appropriate.
              • Target UNICEF HK’s existing mid-level donors, engage and convert them into major donors, through face-to-face, digital and other effective channels.
              • Seek out opportunities to highlight UNICEF HK’s unique strengths to top-level prospects through one-on-one meetings as well as presentations at community events, business conferences and other suitable occasions.
              • Prepare grant proposals and project plans that match the specific interest and demands of potential donors; develop donor agreements and other communications materials needed to secure major gifts; and provide regular stewardship reports to fulfil the accountability requirement and nurture a lasting relationship with high-value donors.
              • Oversee the maintenance of an accurate, up-to-date and secure database and records of interactions/transactions with donors; assess, review and continually improve the donor recruitment, engagement and retention process; develop and expand the Philanthropy team as appropriate.
              • Work closely with key members of the Fundraising Department to plan and achieve specific short-term and longer-range fundraising targets, evaluate results regularly, and effect timely adjustment or revision to the overall fundraising strategy.
              • Plan, organize and lead field trips for donors; and manage special projects as assigned by the Business Director or Fundraising Committee.

Skills & Requirements

              •  A university degree in business, marketing, finance or related disciplines
              • 8 to 10 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing and/or account servicing
              • A proven track record of cultivating and managing relationship with high-net-worth individuals and trust/foundation managers.
              • Experience in fundraising desirable, especially in donor recruitment and retention, corporate and foundation relationship building, donor campaigns and events, and fundraising strategy and programme development
              • Strong social and professional network, and exposure to global operation an advantage
              • Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills in both English & Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
              • Highly motivated self-starter, with strong financial analysis and planning skills, able to work independently and function effectively under pressure and challenging circumstances
