Since the earthquake on 25 April 2015 devastated their homes and schools in Haku Village Development Committee in the district, Tamang and her 14 fellow school mates have been living in a tented hostel for the past eight months to continue their education in a nearby UNICEF-supported temporary learning centre (TLC). In the midst of winter, life has become hard for the students as they are also affected by the fuel crisis and shortage of essential supplies including fuel and food.
